Jennifer N. Forshey DMD, MD
Dr. Forshey completed the Harvard-based oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at Massachusetts General Hospital. This program included training in oral surgery, plastic surgery, general surgery, trauma, and anesthesia at four Boston hospitals: Massachusetts General Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Boston, Brigham and Womens Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Forshey was the chief resident her final year in training.
During and after her education, Dr. Forshey has received numerous awards for her academic and clinical achievements including the following:
Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for Academic Achievement Award to graduating senior attaining highest academic standing during the years of study in dental school.
Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award to the graduating senior selected by the faculty who shows the highest proficiency and interest in general dentistry.
Theodore Blum Oral Surgery Award to the graduating senior dental student showing highest proficiency in oral surgery.
Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities Appreciation Certificate to senior with high achievement in dental care of disabled patients.
Matthew Cryer Honor Society, a Penn Dental specific honor society which inducts the top 10 dental students of each class. Dr. Forshey was the President her senior year.

“Best of Baltimore” oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Baltimore Magazine, numerous years. This acknowledgment is based on a peer survey of over 3,000 practicing dentist in the Baltimore area and surrounding counties identifying exceptional providers in their field where they would send their own family members. Only those with overwhelming peer support make the list.
Dr. Forshey holds professional licenses in Maryland. She is a member various professional societies including: Carroll County Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Society, American Dental Society, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Maryland State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Society or Dental Anesthesia.
Dr. Forshey lives in the Westminster area with her family and animals. She enjoys golf, water sports, boating, and skiing among other things. Dr. Forshey is an avid sports fan and a licensed motorcyclist in the state of Maryland.
